Does the new xbox 360 dashboard update ban consoles

InsaneNutter , Apr 9, Ill give it a shot here in a min on my spare console a non flashed one also with a new external HDD blank and new format so no info and a console that is still dashboard Ok so updated no probs there NO Avatars and if you try to customize it pops up with a Update is needed to be downloaded from Microsoft bla bla bla we all know what it said this Xbox is Offline I don't even wont to hook it to Live yet.

BigRod , Apr 9, Good stuff, I don't have a spear console I can actually update just to see if they do or not. I didn't know if you posted before I edited my post so you know there are NO Avatars it comes up with a Updated is needed to use them Do you think that a firmware with avatars from like the or dash would update avatars? Ah thats a shame, ill look in to it some more.

I believe XboxHacker hex edits them out the hard drive, which is why it takes so long to do so, but the end result is usually updates with working avatars. Ah that explains it for the avatars XboxHacker does some good work if anyone can do it, It will be him lol.

If I understand you can not connect to Xbox Live until the final version of this update, but what is the release date of this update? Thank you in advance for your answers. It will work on any Xbox The avatar data does not work, which means neither will the Kinect stuff i dont think As for when its released there is no date yet, it will not be for a while.

Yes it will work this was a beta version used for testing as of right now just released like a day or 2 ago as of right now all the kinect stuff works but if you update you will have no Live access and no avatar tell the final version is released and there is no time frame it could be weeks the beta just started so if you like live and avatar do not update.

However, users with a banned Xbox may not want to throw away their consoles just yet. According to the site Mods , c4eva has abandoned work on his Lite-on and Hitachi drive mods to try to establish a workaround. The new workaround, dubbed iXtreme LT Light Touch aims to provide a minimum amount of security checks and aims to make the firmware as close to the stock firmware as possible to prevent detection.

This fix may allow modified consoles to return to playing backup discs and other forbidden materials without Microsoft noticing. Other members of the community are working on strategies to try to undo the changes made by Microsoft, which neuter the banned consoles, depriving them of much of their functionality though they still will play games offline.

A fix appears to have arrived, according to some of the forums, but it is rather complex and requires access to either an Xbox you know the CPU key of, or did not update over the summer.

According to user k0mpresd on Xbox-Scene :. Again, this relies on a variety of free tools, and can be a somewhat complex process. I've only had the chance to load Fable 2 to my HDD, noticed a lot of stuttering when playing though Load times are faster and no drive noise so I guess I'll just tough it out.

I like how the new dash is a lot more snappier than the old one which was laggy as hell. You must log in or sign up to reply here. Show Ignored Content. Share This Page. Your name or email address: Do you already have an account?
