Aquarium education programs

Instructors and their students set up an aquarium in the classroom, receive fish eggs under a special CDFW permit, and observe the fish as they hatch and develop.

The experience may culminate in a field trip to a local stream or river where the fish are released. The Aquarium offers a variety of fun-filled, engaging and educational camps throughout the year, including summer and school-year programs.

A full complement of virtual programs opens the door for learning remotely. For those unable to visit the Aquarium, we offer a variety of educational programs that engage students of all ages. The Aquarium offers numerous educational programs to engage children of all ages with scientific discovery, interactive experiences, outdoor exploration and much more.

Field trips, on-site science programs, educator outreach, animal ambassadors, games and trivia are a few of the programs and resources available for educators and their students. We invite teachers and families to utilize a compilation of free resources for learners of ALL ages.
