Windows media remote 1039

I have exactly the same problem and came to the same conclusion: pressing once on the green windows button launches ehtray. If you press again on this button within these 10 seconds, then WMC starts, otherwise nothing happens.

You can also manually start ehtray. After that, within 10 seconds, you can launch WMC with the windows green button pressing only once. I have used this remote with Windows 7 with both 32 and bit without any problems. What is the solution so that pressing only one time is enough to start Media Center? This thread is locked.

Once you navigate to these pages, find the key named 'enabledebounce' and double click it. Set this to 0 to make windows MCE compatible with a universal remote control, and restart the computer. You can now either learn the codes with your remote or program them in manually using the media center infrared codes below, and as long as MCE receives the signal from your remote, it will act on it.

This file does not have all of the keys for the MCE remote, but it was a good start. You will need to open this file with a program that can read CCF files, not notepad.
